While working on Bibi's story, at one point I planned to create the pictures myself. How hard can it be?! Of course, it's much harder than it looks. Fortunately the wonderful Charlotte Watkins magically appeared and developed the beautiful illustrations for Bibi's book.
Charlotte is an illustrator, layout artist and qualified animator based in Derby, UK. She graduated from De Montfort University with a first class degree in animation and went on to work on the fourth series of Little Princess for Channel 5. With a keen interest in children’s storytelling, she set up her own business focusing on digital illustrations for children’s books.
Charlotte was a passionate artist from a young age and found her feet while working at home, accompanied by her springer spaniel. She welcomes input from clients and enjoys the challenge of bringing an author’s imagination to life. Her way of working enables the author to watch the illustrations develop from a rough sketch through to the final piece.
